🔹 Job Description

The role is for a Java Backend Developer (C&M Domain), contributing to design, development, requirement analysis, and code reviews. The candidate will work in an agile (Scrum/SAFe) environment and collaborate with global teams.

🔹 Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

  • Perform requirement analysis, impact analysis, and work estimation.

  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.

  • Collaborate with architects for solution designs.

  • Participate in planning, monitoring, and reporting of teamwork.

  • Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.

  • Support projects and contribute to system documentation.

🔹 Required Skills (Non-Negotiable Competencies)

  • Strong Java application development skills.

  • Ability to reverse engineer Java code and prepare documentation.

  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch.

  • Experience with Apache Solr, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, WebSphere, OpenShift, GitLab, Oracle DB.

  • Familiarity with Spring MVC, business and data layer frameworks.

  • Experience in RESTful service development.

  • Knowledge of Scrum/SAFe frameworks and tools like Jira.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC models (iterative, waterfall).

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

🔹 Nice to Have (Negotiable Competencies)

  • Angular 6+ (front-end exposure).

  • Retail domain experience.

  • Experience with European clients.

  • Java Certifications (Oracle/Sun).

  • Prior Colruyt old stack experience.

  • SAFe certification or prior experience.

  • Support project experience.

  • UG: Any Graduate

  • PG: Any Postgraduate

🔹 Ideal Candidate

  • Strong backend developer with exposure to enterprise systems.

  • Interested in working in retail/commerce domain.

  • Strong communicator, with willingness to learn and adapt to client needs.

  • Comfortable working in an agile team with European stakeholders.
