Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Full Stack Developer (Front End Heavy) with a strong UI/UX focus to join our Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) team at JPMorgan Chase. As a Software Engineer II, you will design and develop high-quality web applications, collaborate with design and backend teams, and deliver seamless user experiences.

This role is ideal for developers who are passionate about responsive design, performance optimization, and modern frontend technologies, while also having exposure to backend integration with Python or Java.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive, interactive web applications using modern front-end technologies.

  • Translate UI/UX designs into functional, efficient code.

  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and accessibility.

  • Integrate frontend components with backend services via RESTful & GraphQL APIs.

  • Write clean, maintainable code with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js.

  • Participate in user research, testing, and code reviews.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • Strong frontend skills with JavaScript, TypeScript, React/Next.js.

  • Experience with responsive design (Bootstrap, Tailwind).

  • Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).

  • Strong problem-solving & attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps.

  • Knowledge of databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Familiarity with Figma or other UI/UX design tools.

  • Basic backend development with Python or Java.
