Position: Associate IS Business Systems Analyst

About the Role

Amgen Inc. is seeking a passionate and driven Associate IS Business Systems Analyst to join our technology team. This individual will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of critical software applications and systems that support our business processes. You will work collaboratively across functions and be responsible for ensuring system performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development & Deployment
    Develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Support & Maintenance
    Maintain and support SaaS applications; manage incident response, perform periodic reviews, and conduct security audits.

  • Code Quality & Documentation
    Participate in peer code reviews and write clear documentation for new and existing features.

  • Testing & Debugging
    Write unit and integration tests; assist in debugging and resolving system issues.

  • Collaborative Design
    Translate business requirements into functional designs by collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

  • Continuous Learning
    Stay current with emerging technologies, with a focus on cloud services, automation, and secure software practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • Strong understanding of software development processes and cloud-based systems

  • Experience with SaaS application configuration (e.g., Veeva)

  • Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases

  • Solid foundation in testing methodologies

Good-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with Veeva Vault, Veeva ALM, or KNEAT

  • Exposure to AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, DynamoDB), MuleSoft, or API integration

  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies
