🚀 Job Description – Junior DevOps Engineer

Feathersoft is on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Junior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience to grow within a technically strong team while working on cutting-edge DevOps practices.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

  • Monitor server and infrastructure performance; plan capacity effectively

  • Configure backup and disaster recovery systems

  • Write automation scripts (Shell, Ansible, Chef) for smoother deployments

  • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Redgate

  • Integrate automated testing and quality checks in the deployment pipelines

  • Set up and manage monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK Stack, and Nagios

  • Develop dashboards and alerts to monitor system health

  • Apply essential security measures: firewall rules, user access, patching, vulnerability scans

  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage them with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm

  • Troubleshoot system and application issues; ensure quick incident resolution

  • Keep infrastructure documentation up to date

  • Regularly update the team with changes and maintain clear documentation

  • Linux administration skills

  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Redgate

  • Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, ELK

  • Networking, storage, and backup knowledge
