Job Summary

As an Associate IS Business Systems Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting Amgen’s external suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of clinical trials. You’ll act as a bridge between business and technology, resolving technical issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing long-term preventive solutions. Your collaboration with stakeholders, product owners, and other analysts will be key to delivering exceptional user support and ensuring business continuity.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and external partners

  • Provide rapid and effective resolution of critical technical issues that impact supplier performance and trial delivery

  • Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and user stories

  • Perform technical and process analysis to identify root causes and design effective solutions

  • Document system configurations, processes, and all relevant changes

  • Maintain detailed and accurate user and system documentation for ongoing reference and compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Information Systems with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • Diploma in a related field with 4 to 7 years of experience in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to interact confidently with both internal stakeholders and external service providers on technical matters

  • Experience supporting or working with clinical trial systems (e.g., Medidata Rave, CTMS, Veeva)

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to technical issues

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) or vendors supporting clinical trials

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum

  • Knowledge of network security protocols and tools (IPSEC, SSL, IDS/IPS, firewalls)

  • Experience with Office 365 Cloud, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

  • SAFe for Teams Certification

  • Knowledge of GxP, CFR 21 Part 11, and validated systems

Soft Skills

  • Highly organized and capable of working independently

  • Strong analytical and assessment skills

  • Comfortable working in global, cross-functional, and virtual teams

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently

  • Team player with a collaborative and proactive mindset

  • Eagerness to grow professionally and technically

Educational Qualifications

  • UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization

  • PG: Any Postgraduate
